Periana Olive Oil collaborates with the Costa Women association to promote Periana Verdial Olive Oil on the Costa del Sol

In September, Periana Olive Oil and the Costa Women association organised an olive oil tasting session, which was attended by around 30 people, mostly English-speaking.

The event took place at Mr Rohs, a gourmet restaurant in Fuengirola.

The tasting was led by the manager of Labsur laboratory, Alfredo Rivero, who first gave a talk about the history and characteristics of olive oil, as well as the things to consider when it comes to choosing an olive oil. Afterwards, there was the olive oil tasting, which included extra virgin olive oil of the Verdial variety.

The event finished with a cocktail party, in which organisers and participants discussed their experience during the tasting, as well as their interest in the Axarquía region and the native thousand-year-old olive trees that are mostly found in the municipality of Periana.
